Research Mentors

The ECMCF Mentorship program is part of the Postsecondary CTE Research Fellows Program at NC State University, sponsored by the ECMC Foundation. The goal of our program is to provide the ECMCF Research Fellows access to leading researchers in CTE. The program aims to partner Research Fellows with researcher mentors who will be able to provide insight into CTE research, the field of CTE, and provide support to enrich their experience in the Research Fellows program. It is critical for the mentor to engage with the mentee regularly (on the phone or virtually) and face-to-face as possible. Included here are suggested monthly topics that mentors can use to facilitate the sessions but, it is expected that these topics will not be the only items discussed and other issues will emerge in the sessions. Additionally, the mentor can offer the mentee opportunities to collaborate on research projects, co-present, or provide other experiences to enrich their experience in the Research Fellows program.
